Jesus Then And Now

This section provides some interesting information and compares scriptures, of Jesus then and now, when attempting to prove who Jesus is (or who he is not). One thing appears to be consistent with the scriptural presentation of Jesus; whoever Jesus was on Earth he is certainly the same person in Heaven with God today.

Jesus Christ The Same Yesterday,
Today and Forever

Hebrews 13:8)

Jesus

On Earth & In Heaven

Jesus Was:

(While On Earth)

Jesus Is:

(While In Heaven)

Jesus Was a Man(Mark 15:39John 8:40Acts 2:22Romans 5:15) Jesus Is a Man(1 Timothy 2:5Acts 17:30-31)

(Acts 17:29-31) Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device. 30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: 31 Because he [God] hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man [Jesus] whom he [God] hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him [Jesus] from the dead.

Jesus Was “the Son Of Man”(Matthew 8:209:616:1327Mark 10:3314:62) Jesus Is “the Son Of Man”(Acts 7:55-56Revelation 1:1314:14)

Jesus Was “the Son of God”(Hebrews 1:5) “For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?”

(Matthew 16:16) “And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.”

(Matthew 8:2914:3327:42-4354Luke 1:353:224:418:28John 1:341:493:186:6910:3611:2720:31Acts 8:379:20Romans 1:42 Corinthians 1:19Galatians 2:20Ephesians 4:13)

Jesus Is “the Son of God”(Revelation 2:18) “And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God,who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass”
Jesus’ Father Was God(Hebrews 1:5) “For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?”

(Mark 16:16) “And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.”

(2 Corinthians 11:31Ephesians 1:3173:141 Peter 1:32 John 1:3)

Jesus’ Father Is God(John 20:17) “Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.”

(Revelation 3:5) “He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.”

(Revelation 3:12) “Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my Godwhich is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name”

(Revelation 3:21) “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”

Jesus Was The Lamb Of God(John 1:2936) Jesus Is The Lamb Of God(Revelation 5:1212:10-1113:821:1422-2322:13)

Jesus Was Mortal (He Died)NOTE: Death is caused by the separation of body and spirit:

(James 2:26Acts 2:30-32Luke 23:46Romans 5:81 Corinthians 15:3-4)

See also (Genesis 25:81735:29Job 14:10Mark 15:39Acts 5:51012:23)

Jesus Is Immortal (He Was Resurrected)(Revelation 1:18) “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”

See also (John 2:2221:14;Romans 8:34;

Jesus’ Purpose Was:(Luke 9:20-22) “He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God. 21 And he straitly charged them, and commanded them to tell no manthat thing; 22 Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day

(John 3:17) “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”

(John 11:25-27) “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? 27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.”

(John 17:1-3) “These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: 2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee (you) the only true God, andJesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”

(John 20:31) “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God (not God); and that believing ye might have life through his name.”

(1 John 5:10-13) “He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

(Romans 10:9-11) “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.”

Jesus’ Purpose Is:(Hebrews 4:14) “Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.”

(Hebrews 9:24) “For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which arethe figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:”

(Romans 8:34) “Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.”

(Hebrews 7:25) “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”

(Revelation 20:6) “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him [Christ] a thousand years.”

(Revelation 5:4-7) “And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. 5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. 6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. 7 And he [Jesus] came and took the book out of the right hand of him [God] that sat upon the throne.”

(1 Corinthians 15:24-28 (NLT)) “After that the end will come, when he [Jesus] will turn the Kingdom over to God the Father, having destroyed every ruler and authority and power. 25 For Christ must reign until he humbles all his enemies beneath his feet. 26 And the last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For the Scriptures say, “God has put all things under his authority.” (Of course, when it says “all things are under his authority,” that does not include God himself, who gave Christ his authority.) 28 Then, when all things are under his authority, the Son will put himself under God’s authority, so that God, who gave his Son authority over all things, will be utterly supreme over everything everywhere.”

Jesus Is at the “Right Hand” of GodMost scriptures reflect Jesus as standing or sat down at the right hand of God. It is irrelevant whether the “right hand” of God is stated as being figurative or literal, either way it denotes Jesus at a position to someone other than himself.

(Acts 7:55-56Romans 8:34Ephesians 1:20Colossians 3:1Hebrews 1:3Hebrews 8:1Hebrews 10:12Hebrews 12:21 Peter 3:22)

The truth about the Father and Son

Biblical Christianity and Judaism
are Monotheistic religions

Sh’ma Yisra’eil Adonai Eloheinu Adonai echad. (Hear, Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One) “Hear, Israel: YHWH is our God. YHWH is ONE.” (Deu 6:4 )

What did Jesus believe about God (Yahweh)?

Jesus himself repeated the Sh’ma

Jesus believed and worshipped a God, therefore he is not God himself

Jesus feared and trusted in his God

Jesus prayed to God like us. He depended on God – therefore he is not God

Reflect | Examine | Re- Examine

1. If Jesus is ‘I am’ and the ‘Everlasting Father’ as they interpret, then who does he pray to?
2. Why does he pray if he is fully God? Why does he require help from other persons of the trinity?
3. Does he still pray every night in heaven to the other persons of the trinity?
4. Why does he not pray to the third person of the Trinity and only the 1st person?
5. If Jesus is the ONE God and ONLY God then why does he need to appeal to the other persons of the trinity?
6. Does Jesus pray to the trinity or the Father?
7. Was one part of Jesus praying and the other part of Jesus supplying the answers?
8. Did the human Jesus at times not know that he was in control of the universe? Or did he loose control during the days of his flesh?
9. Does he have to pray a whole night like a human if he was fully divine?
10. Obviously he was eager to pray at morning, at night and live a prayerful life. Were these requests genuine or to make a show?
11. Trinitarians say, he does miracles you say he was in control, but when he prays he was not in control – Is this possible?
12. Clearly, Jesus had not read the Nicean documents and creeds to know he was FULL God?
Jesus did not pray to the fully divine Jesus but to his God the Father!
The trinitarian interpretation is completely illogical, contrary to Jesus’ teachings and actions. The truth is not found in trinitarian interpretation! Hypostatic union is a lame excuse to coverup the obvious faults in the Trinitarian belief. One fault leads to more faults.
“Put everything to the test. Accept what is good” (CEV 1 Thessalonians 5:21)
God and Jesus are not equal.

God is the Father and greater than the son whom he begot/created through Mary.

Jesus denied he was God. Jesus claimed he was a man. Jesus gave glory to God!

Jesus the misunderstood prophet of God. The scriptures foretold that Jesus would be a MAN like Moses

Prophets before Jesus could also do miracles and were sent to represent God

Do not be confused when men do miracles in God’s name or power.

Worshipping Men

Most Christians misunderstand Jesus. The power and authority Jesus had was given to him by his God!

It should be obvious by now why the bible does not use the word Trinity? Reject the trinity and embrace the truth! There is only ONE GOD – the Father. Jesus was ‘made Lord’ by his God and Father.

Understanding Biblical One: 1=1
Do you see three?

Believe in Jesus. He never claimed to be God. He was spiritually one with the Father and was the son of God. Jesus never tried to be equal with God (like Adam and Eve once tried through the temptation of the serpent).

Do not listen to the serpent: “for God knows that in the day you eat it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God” (Gen 3:5)

Since Jesus was a man, he died like other men. The great victory was that God raised him to eternal life.

Jesus confessed of limitations and therefore it was impossible for him to be God

Only the Father is the source of Eternal life.

The son obtained eternal life as we also hope to have one day. The son himself confessed to this obvious truth.

Don’t believe the lies they teach. Trinity, Hypostatic union, God the son, etc phrases are post apostolic inventions of ignorant Greek/Roman Christians

Beware of Greek/Roman scribes who have changed scriptures with their lies

(Falsified proof texts)

Jesus spoke of spiritual oneness and not literal oneness.

Claim: Jesus’ teachings were his own:

Jesus disagrees: ‘My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.’ Joh 7:16

Claim: Jesus is equal to the Father

Jesus disagrees: ’The Father is greater than I.’ Joh 14:28

Claim: Jesus does miracles and works of his own because he is fully God

Jesus disagrees: ’the Son can do nothing of his own accord,’ Joh 5:19

Claim: Jesus is immortal and has divine attributes

Jesus disagrees: ’For as the Father has life in himself, so he has GRANTED the Son also to have life in himself.’ Joh 5:26

Understanding Immanuel

The scriptures point to the fact that Jesus has a God, Therefore he is not God.

All these references are after Jesus was resurrected.

This is what the apostles believed and preached.

The song of Jesus & Moses (the great prophets of God) to the Almighty God

An examination of the life of Jesus as witnessed by the gospels show us that he was born, he lived, & he trusted his God. He was a great prophet and the son of God who was murdered and died!

He was brought back to life by God and has become the saviour of the world

Why is Jesus our Lord and Saviour?

Jesus was appointed by God to show us the way to righteous living and to save us from death.

When you believe in the words of the prophet, you are actually believing in God, because the prophet delivers the word of God

60 of 100: Jesus was a MAN attested/approved by God (YaHWeH) with mighty works and wonders and signs that God (YaHWeH) DID through him and not ‘The gods are come down’

Jesus was a MAN attested/approved by God

Yahweh is our God. Yahweh is one.

During a visit to the Vatican in 2016, the Audio tour #25 had this phrase:

Jesus Christ who works miracles to confirm his divinity

20160528_130838-2

Often Jesus’ extraordinary miracles is seen as sign of his divinity by trinitarians.

Response:
Jesus himself said:
Joh 14:12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
According to Jesus, any other human who believes can not only do the miracles he did, but he can do even greater miracles. So Jesus does not encourage the Trinitarian’s argument for his divinity based on his miracles.
In fact, according to Peter, Jesus miracles showed him that Jesus was a MAN who was attested by God (YaHWeh) and not that Jesus was divine:

Act 2:22  “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth,

Who can raise the dead, but God?

Who can raise the dead, but God?

But men including Jesus raised the dead.

In fact, according to Peter, Jesus miracles showed him that Jesus was a MAN who was attested by God (YaHWeh) and not that Jesus was deity:

Act 2:22 “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know
Act 2:23 this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men.
Act 2:24 God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it.

When Jesus performed the miracles, he gave the glory to his Father, but when trinitarians explain the miracles they take away glory from the Father

Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name bear witness about me, (John 10:25 ESV)

John 5:36 ” But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.”

None of the prophets or Jesus boasted or self glorified themselves – For they all gave glory to God. Once Moses struck the rock twice and his words fell, so God does not allow him to enter the promised land.

So according to Jesus the miracles he did proved that the Father was with him. When Jesus or any human does these miracles it proves that God is with that person. The miracles proved that God had send Jesus, not that Jesus was God. If the miracles of Jesus proves Jesus’ deity, then Moses should also be deity. Can a man split the Red Sea or kill the first born of Egypt? God did those miracles through Moses.

Jesus, Elijah and Elisha did the miracles they did by the anointing of the holy spirit.

Jesus gives the glory to the Father, but can trinitarians do likewise?
Can you trust Jesus’ words?
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, the son can do nothing of himself.” (John 5:19)
“I do nothing of myself, but as my Father hath taught me; I speak these things and he that sent me is with me, the Father hath not left me alone, for I do always those things that please him. Verily, verily, I say unto you, the son can do nothing of himself.”
(John 8:28-29; 5:19)

Jesus does not know the date of his return

Image may contain: 1 person, text

Jesus does not know the day of his return because it has not been revealed to him.
When we consider the opening passage of Revelation:
“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him,”

I.e. Jesus gets his revelation from ➡️his God.

Jesus confessed:
Joh 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge.

Jesus is exalted, in that the Father has given him glory and revelation above all else;
yet some things are hid even from the exalted Christ.

Over the past 2000 years, every generation has felt Jesus would come in their life time, based on present day events. While this gives us hope, the hope of healing of this world and eternal life, it is unwise to speculate, even what Jesus himself does not know.

History has shown us the worst of days, times of war and times of peace, times of famine, earthquake and plagues, but the Father has his own plans and patience.

We cannot help but be curious of his return – as even his disciples asked him – at the time of his ascension:
“Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” (Acts 1:6)

To which Jesus advised his dear ones:
“It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority.”

Even in the resurrected state Jesus repeated what he said during his days of mortality.
His emphasis is that the Father has fixed that mysterious date by his own authority and no one knows it.

However, he encouraged them about the spirit they were to receive:
Act 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Jesus sings to his God

Jesus sings to his God

Have you ever thought if Jesus was a Tenor, Baritone, Countertenor, Bass? The scriptures testify he used his vocal chords to make melody to his God!

Jesus sings to his God
Jesus prays to his God
Jesus fasts to his God
Jesus trusts his God
Jesus loves his God
Jesus glorifies his God

Jesus was never part of a trinity!

1 Corinthians 11.3

Image may contain: text

The Head of Christ is God the Father is obvious form scriptures because Jesus worships God his Father. Jesus worships, glorifies, honours YHWH as his God and Father. Jesus prays and sings to YHWH his God and Father.

Trinity incorrectly teaches that the Father and son are co-equal thereby insulting the God, Jesus came to preach. Trinity will teach you to resist the Father, therefore you will neither understand the son nor the Father.

Yahweh “raised” the prophet Jesus

Image may contain: text

Yahweh “raised” the prophet Jesus to declare his will. Jesus was ‘raised’ up or directed to come into existence or specially chosen and authorised according to YHWH’s purpose and plan. Jesus was to be an Israelite and Jew yet supersede Moses.

This prophecy was fulfilled thus as interpreted by the disciple Peter:
– ‘RAISED UP HIS SERVANT’:

Act 3:22 Moses indeed said, A prophet shall the Lord God raise up unto you from among your brethren, like unto me; to him shall ye hearken in all things whatsoever he shall speak unto you.
Act 3:23 And it shall be, that every soul, which shall not hearken to that prophet, shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.
Act 3:24 Yea and all the prophets from Samuel and them that followed after, as many as have spoken, they also told of these days.
Act 3:25 Ye are the sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with your fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
Act 3:26 Unto you first God, having [RAISED UP HIS SERVANT], sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.

Zecharias’ Prophecy:
Luk 1:69 And hath [RAISED UP A HORN] of salvation for us In the house of his servant David
Luk 1:70 (As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets which have been since the world began),

Paul and Barnabas at Antioch in Pisidia testify from the raising of David to Jesus. Note the usage of ‘RAISED UP’ i.e. to bring into existence or to cause an action according to his will or chosen by God or authorised by God:

Act 13:21 And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.
Act 13:22 And when he had removed him, he [RAISED UP] unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
Act 13:23 Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise [RAISED] unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus.
