Yahweh “raised” the prophet Jesus to declare his will. Jesus was ‘raised’ up or directed to come into existence or specially chosen and authorised according to YHWH’s purpose and plan. Jesus was to be an Israelite and Jew yet supersede Moses.
This prophecy was fulfilled thus as interpreted by the disciple Peter:
– ‘RAISED UP HIS SERVANT’:
Act 3:22 Moses indeed said, A prophet shall the Lord God raise up unto you from among your brethren, like unto me; to him shall ye hearken in all things whatsoever he shall speak unto you.
Act 3:23 And it shall be, that every soul, which shall not hearken to that prophet, shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.
Act 3:24 Yea and all the prophets from Samuel and them that followed after, as many as have spoken, they also told of these days.
Act 3:25 Ye are the sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with your fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
Act 3:26 Unto you first God, having [RAISED UP HIS SERVANT], sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.
Luk 1:69 And hath [RAISED UP A HORN] of salvation for us In the house of his servant David
Luk 1:70 (As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets which have been since the world began),
Paul and Barnabas at Antioch in Pisidia testify from the raising of David to Jesus. Note the usage of ‘RAISED UP’ i.e. to bring into existence or to cause an action according to his will or chosen by God or authorised by God:
Act 13:21 And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.
Act 13:22 And when he had removed him, he [RAISED UP] unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
Act 13:23 Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise [RAISED] unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus.
